Heaven and Hell... What can we say. The gentlemen in BLACK SABBATH practically invented the foundations for what today is Heavy Metal in all it's splendor. While OZZY OSBOURNE is occupied with all of his media endorsements Mr FRANK ANTHONY IOMMI is nice enough to continue with BLACK SABBATH mac II. BLACK SABBATH mac II includes RONNIE JAMES DIO as singer. This line up created what we believe to be the best albums BLACK SABBATH have done. Who can forget gems like "Children of the sea", "Die young", "Mob Rules", "Neon Knights" and... "Heaven and Hell".

DIO has since then had a successful solo career with albums like "Holy Diver", "Last In Line" and "Dream Evil" but his worst enemy has been himself. He has had a tendency to plagiarise himself and if you own one of his albums you own them all. Almost.

Heaven & Hell have been on tour quite a bit and now it's completely natural that they release a studio album. "The Devil you know" that is heavy as led. After the first listening we are a bit suprised that the obvious radio single is missing. It really doesn't matter after a while some songs start to shine.

"Atom & Evil" is a track that will make all other Doom bands crumble and turn into ashes. "Bible Black" will make all Black Metal bands turn to the true heroes. "Follow The Tears" and -Breaking Into HeavenĀ stand out as the best tracks of the album.

There are some cheesy lyrics on here and this album doesn't live up to the old albums in fact it is poor in comparison. But still it is a really good and solid album, a lot better than most of the shit out there. And some of the songs on "The Devil You now" will become classics.

Take our word for it.
