Sparzanza was formed in Kil, just outside of Karlstad, Sweden back in 1996 by  Anders Åberg, Peter Eriksson and the brothers Calle and David Johannesson.

Soon after Andreas Kloss joined the band as bass player. 1997 Sparzanza released their debut 7" EP, Wheeler dealer and shortly thereafter Kloss left the band. Johan Carlsson was recruited as new bass player. the band released a number of EP-albums, compilation albums and a shitload of touring. Peter Eriksson decided to leave the band in 1999 and was replaced by Fredrik "Washburn" Weileby

A demo was quickly recorded and the French label Water Dragon Records released it as a aplit album "I love you ... both" in 2000. Sparzanza released their first full length album "Angels of Vengeance" in 2001 and the album mainly received good reviews.

With their second release "Into the sewers" Sparzanza left the stoner rock behind them and took on a modern metal sound.

Sparzanza is a renowned live act and for several years they stuck to the gimick of entering the stage dressed in police uniforms to the sound of sirens

In the begining of 2006 Sparzanza released their third full length album "Banisher of the light", it was clear that a lot of effort was put into the song writing. Peter Dolving of The Haunted and Ralf Gyllenhammar of Mustasch are featured guests on the album.The sound that Sparzanza forged on "Bannisher of the light" have proven to be a winning concept and they have stuck with it since.

In Voodoo Veritas ( find the truth in Voodoo) and "Foile A Chinq" ( some strange mental disorder) have proven that Sparzanza is a top notch band that have potential to break in the international music scene. It is simply a matter of promotion.
