Evanescence to play at the Nobel peace prize ceremony

EVANESCENCE will perform at this year's Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway on December 11 at the Oslo Spektrum. This is an interesting one since singer and band leader Amy Lee had a fight out with the creative engine of the band Ben Moody (guitarist and composer), leading up to his bitter departure from the and a few years back.

The concert will be held a day after the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, whose honorees include President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and women's right activist Leymah Gbowee, both of whom are from Liberia, and democracy activist Tawakkul Karman of Yemen.

EVANESCENCE will join a number of other accomplished performing artists, including singer-songwriter David Gray, vocalist Jill Scott, country duo SUGARLAND and Matthew Morrison from "Glee". The concert is scheduled to broadcast globally in up to 130 countries, including those in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, South, Central and North America. The event will also be streamed live on CNN International at 8:00 p.m. CET on December 11. EVANESCENCE will also play seven North American shows in January with support from RIVAL SONS.

The dates are as follows:
Jan. 13 - Littlejohn Coliseum - Clemson, SC
