Megadeth to big to be small but never ever big enough to compete with Metallica. And why does that have any bearing on Megadeth?

Well when Dave Mustaine got sacked by his pals in Metallica back in 1983 his future was forged in metal, the animosity, the shame, the embarrassment. Dave had to prove that he was better than his former band mates. Over the years there has been quite a few amusing quotes regarding the importance of Mustaines for Metallica, and among other things he claimed to have composed tracks on "Master of Puppets". Just consider the pressure of being in the situation of Dave Mustaine, making one album after the other only to find that Metallica becomes more acclaimed, sells more albums and finally becomes, if not the biggest, one of the biggest acts globally. I would have killed myself. Dave numbed himself and he has a history of problems with alcohol and narcotics and has had some close calls over the years.

But in the painful process Megadeth has done quite a few memorable albums like "Peace sells.. But who is buying" and "Countdown to Extinction"

In late November 2014, Shawn Drover quit the band after ten years. This was quickly followed by the departure of Chris Broderick. David Ellefson denied rumors that Megadeth would disband, and said he and Mustaine would continue working on new music. And considering the trouble that surrounded the path up until the release of the album I must say that they really have succeeded well. Dystopia is an album of well crafted direct songs that any trash lover will enjoy. As usual Megadeth stay consistent in their musical expression, much more so than Metallica or Slayer. And centre stage i Dave barking in his angry style vocals.

Dystopia is not as good as the early albums but surely one of the best Megadeth has released in the new Millennium.

But hey, what should I expect from one of the "Big Four", or should I say Metallica and the three midgets...

As a side note, don't pick a fight with this guy, rumour is that Dave Mustaine holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do...
